i took these this morning to document some self care for my birthday, which is a pretty overwhelming day (grief, social anxiety, disappointment of stuff that didnt work out). i woke up early and danced to mariah carey, nation of ulysses, had a long shower, kept dancing and cooked “meat” balls in a red paprika sauce for a lunch to take to the quarry where my best friend (who is now napping next to me wearing a matching jumper to the one i’m wearing too) took me to go swim in the most beautiful blue limestone filled water. while the meatballs were simmering and i waited for my interstate houseguests to wake up for coffee time i had a cuddle party with my sweetheart bear, szandor (pictured).

okay. sometimes i remember how to take care. some times. birthdays are so strange.

another safe voyage around the sun.

This sounds like a very good birthday, a day where (for me) you do whatever you want to yourself to make you feel special. It also reminds me that I forgot it was this very special person’s birthday which makes me feel like a crudbutt. Happy birthday sweetheart. I love you!
